Dr. Ankita Patel is an accomplished forensic scientist and Assistant Professor at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, where she has been shaping the field of forensic science for over a decade. Holding both an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Forensic Science, her academic journey is marked by a strong focus on bridging science and justice. Dr. Ankita Patel was awarded the prestigious UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Forensic Science, a highly competitive fellowship provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. It supported her Ph.D. research, focusing on the role of forensic evidence in criminal trials.

Her expertise spans multiple subfields, including Forensic Anthropology, Toxicology, and Criminology, where she has made significant contributions through her research. She hasmade significant contributions to academia, with 17 peer-reviewed research papers and multiple book chapters on diverse forensic topics.
